Abbey Medical Group are offering the NHS Health Check to all in the age range 40 to 74 years in line with the government initiative. We will be starting to send out invitations from November 2011.
We will call everyone in order of risk as requested by the Health Authority over the next 5 years, so please wait for your invitation.
You will be invited to make an appointment with the nurse in designated Health Check clinics which will last 20 minutes and include a few questions, recording you height, weight and blood pressure and a blood test.
People who already have a history of heart disease, diabetes, stroke or are on treatment for high blood pressure or high cholesterol will not be invited as we see you yearly for an annual review.
