Abbey Medical Group now provides an online service to all our patients. If you have access to a computer either at home or at work you can save yourself the trouble of coming in to surgery as the online system allows you to not only request your repeat prescriptions from the comfort of your own home saving you the trouble of having to come into surgery, but you can also now book your own doctors or nurses appointments!
Please note that if you want to see a particular doctor,as you have seen them many times before and you cannot book an online appointment with them, please speak to reception so we can do this manually. We do feel that it is important you see the correct GP as seeing a different GP may not be appropriate.
Click on the link below to book an online appointment: Please ensure you read the guidance at the bottom of this page BEFORE you book a Nurses or Health Care Assistant appointment. If you do not book the correct appointment you may not be seen and you will have to re-book your appointment - Please take care.

The system really is so simple to use and we encourage all our patients to sign-up. More and more people are registering for the service every day and the feedback we have received is very positive.
If you are at all unsure about anything or would like a little extra help in getting started please contact the surgery where someone will be glad to give you a demonstration of how the system works and how quick and easy it is to use.
In order to use the online system you must first register your details with the surgery by taking some photographic I.D. such as a passport or driving licence with you to one of our surgeries. The receptionist will then provide you with the access code and a personal PIN number required to create an account. If you do not have a driving licence or a passport then do not worry as we can identify you by other means. We can either get the doctor or nurse to confirm who you are or we can identify you with two utility bills, bank statements or by asking you a series of questions that only you would know.
If you are new to the area and are registering with the surgery for health care for the first time, then it is a good idea to register for the online system at the same time.
Once you have your online account you can request repeat prescriptions and book a doctors or nurses appointment without having to come to surgery. You can also message the surgery and update all of your personal details such as telephone numbers, address and e-mails. Patients can also use the new facility to view their medical record on-line although this will require an additional password which can be supplied from the surgery on request once a couple of additional checks have been made.
