Abbey Medical Group are a large medical practice based in York, providing healthcare services to eleven and a half thousand patients, mainly in the Tang Hall, Heworth and Huntington areas of the city.

Charlotte Genever

Charlotte Genever has worked at Abbey Medical Group for 6 years at all three of the surgeries. She is the Surgery Supervisor at Parkview Surgery.

Charlotte enjoys her work, and finds that every day there is a different challenge.

Gillian Baigrie

Gillian Baigrie has worked at Abbey Medical Group for 4 years as a receptionist, for the last 2 years as a reception supervisor for Tang Hall Lane surgery.

Prior to working at the surgery Gillian worked at a care home for people with Learning Disabilities for 20 years, so a career change to Abbey Medical Group was very different, but she feels has been very worthwhile and enjoyable.

Jackie Cartledge

Jackie Cartledge has worked at Abbey Medical Group since January 2005. Jackie works part time as a receptionist and also in an administrative role.

Jackie has previously worked in retail and enjoys working with the public on a day to day basis.

Janice Bosworth

Janice Bosworth has worked at Abbey Medical Practice for 20 years and still enjoys her work.

Janice is married with 3 children and a Labrador.

Lisa Dawson

Lisa Dawson has worked at Abbey Medical Group since June 2005.

Lisa works at all three of the surgeries.

Lorraine Hammerton

Lorraine Hammerton has worked as a receptionist at Abbey Medical Group since January 2007.

Lorraine mainly works at the Parkview and Tanghall Lane surgeries.

Victoria Laird

Victoria Laird has worked for the Abbey Medical Group since the 17th March 2008. Victoria works mainly at Tang Hall Lane and Park View surgery.

Victoria is married and has two young children.

Shelley White

Shelley White has worked at Abbey Medical Practice for 3 years and enjoys her job.

Shelley is married with 2 children and 5 grandchildren, which keeps her very busy outside of work.

Susan Coverdale

Susan Coverdale has worked at Abbey Medical Group for eight years, but she has worked previously for two other surgeries in the York area over a period of 28 years.

Susan now works at Victoria Way surgery, but covers at the other sites on occasions.

Sylvia Barlow

Sylvia Barlow has worked for Abbey Medical Group for the past 6 years. Sylvia works on a part time basis and divides her time between all three sites.

Deborah Arthur

Deborah Arthur has worked at Abbey Medical Group since May 2007, and she works at all three of the surgeries.

Debbie is married with 2 children.

Lynne has recently joined Abbey Medical Group from a local chemist where she had lots of experience with prescriptions and medications.
